The Northwest Regional Training Center is tasked by Washington State Homeland Security Region IV to train local officials and emergency responders to prepare for and respond to acts of terrorism including those involving the use of weapons of mass destruction (WMD) and other special incidents. The courses offered by the NWRTC draw on the experience and expertise of local emergency responders, planners and managers. Using ODP-approved curriculum, delivered by Regional subject matter experts, our courses feature a "local focus" supporting Southwest Washington's emergency response community.
