This course provides the knowledge and skills Region IV emergency responders need to perform the tactical functions required during a CBRNE incident. This course emphasizes the skills needed to deploy and use first responder self defense kit (SDK) equipment purchased with DHS-ODP grant funds. This level of training is only required for those Region IV responders who perform emergency scene functions at an operations level or higher Homeland Security Region IV has mandated this course as a baseline for training for the following disciplines: • Law Enforcement • Emergency Medical Services • Fire Service • Hazardous Material (HazMat)
