Course Description: This 4 hour operations level train the trainer course was designed to provide participants information related to the decontamination (decon) guidelines that are intended for emergency responder pre-hospital use. Through discussion and hands on application, they focus on the Homeland Security Region IV decontamination equipment and operations necessary for managing a mass casualty event involving a chemical, biological, radiological or nuclear (CBRN) agent.


Eligibility:

• Must have completed a WMD Standardized Awareness (AWR 160.1) train the trainer course (or has completed equivalent documented training)

• Must have completed a HS Region IV Terrorism Incident Plan – Concept of Operations train the trainer course (R4 AWR-3)

• Must have completed a HS Region IV Self Defense Kit (R4 AWR-3) train the trainer course (R4 Ops 1 TTT)

• Must be sponsored by a HS Region IV participating agency.
