PALS Instructor Course
This course is for current AHA BLS instructors.
The course teaches the AHA Healthcare Provider how to instruct AHA PALS courses using the Core instructor materials. Taught by experienced Instructor Trainers, the student is given detailed information and practical, "real-world" illustration and evaluation with management of the pediatric with a cardiac arrest and other cardiac emergencies or stroke. The course includes airway management, patient assessment, and electrical and drug therapy.


Book Requirements are: PALS Instructor Manual and PALS Provider student Manual. Optional is the AHA Handbook of Emergency Cardiac Care. Students meeting course requirements receive a course completion card valid for 2 years.

Prerequisites: Students must provide a copy of the Instructor Candidate Application and their CORE instructor course certificate, a current BLS and PALS certification and a letter of recommendation from a current PALS course director, instructor or regional faculty.
