Instructor Course - AHA BLS [Heartsaver & BLS-(Healthcare Provider) CPR]
The mission of the American Heart Association is to reduce disability and death from heart disease and stroke. The AHA BLS Instructor course will teach new students how to instruct CPR classes for the Healthcare Provider and also how to teach Heartsaver CPR and First Aid to the lay community. Taught by experienced Instructor trainers, the student is given detailed information and practical, "real-world" illustration. Students meeting course requirements receive a course completion card valid for 2 years.
All Instructor Course candidates must have the most current edition of the required AHA Instructor's manuals, DVD, and Provider/Student Manual for the courses they wish to teach. Candidates are required to use these Instructor's manuals during the Instructor Course. Students must pass and be proficient at the skills and written exam. Students must be 16 years of age to teach the BLS and Heartsaver courses and have a current AHA Provider card in the discipline they wish to teach.
