Blood Borne Pathogens
This course will help the student understand WISHA requirements for treating incidents relating to blood borne pathogen transmission. Many workers are at risk of infection from blood borne pathogens, such as Hepatitis B and HIV while in the performance of their assigned duties. In an effort to protect employees from exposure to these risks, WISHA requires a written exposure plan, engineering controls, personal protective equipment, and training in these biohazard situations.
Note: Employers are responsible for their own exposure plan and program. Recertification is required annually for those with any kind of exposure risk.
Who needs training? Any employee with a potential "occupational exposure" to blood
Cost: $30.00
