The ECG & Pharmacology course is designed for healthcare professionals who participate in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest or other cardiovascular emergencies.

It is an ideal solution for students who are preparing to take ACLS or PALS but can also be used by anyone wanting to supplement their training or need to learn ECG recognition skills and or pharmacology.

Pre-course requirements: This course is for the healthcare provider. A textbook is required for this course. Textbooks are not provided but are available for purchase at NWRTC. Because the ECG/Pharmacology Course covers extensive material in a short time, you will need to prepare for the course beforehand by reading your manual.


This comprehensive course presents information on basic electrophysiology, normal ECG measurements, basic arrhythmias, basic ACLS drugs, usage and routes of administration during cardiovascular emergencies.

This course is designed for a variety of healthcare providers, including ACLS/PALS students preparing for the provider course, physicians, nurses, paramedics, respiratory therapists, occupational therapists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, clinical pharmacists, and ECG technicians. 

A certificate is awarded upon successful completion of the course.
